How Busy Brains can help
Child Behaviour support
Support for children who struggle with aggression, emotional outbursts, defiance, poor frustration tolerance, and behaviour that feels difficult to understand or manage.
Regulation & Neurodivergent support
Practical support for children with autism, ADHD, sensory needs, anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and difficulties with transitions, flexibility, and day-to-day coping.
Parent & school guidance
Clear, realistic strategies for parents, schools, and professionals to help children feel more understood, supported, and regulated across settings.
You might be here because...
Your child may be melting down over small things, refusing school, struggling with transitions, lashing out, shutting down, or becoming overwhelmed very quickly.
You may feel like you have tried everything and still do not have a clear understanding of what is driving the behaviour or what to do next.
Busy Brains offers structured, practical support to help you make sense of what is happening and build a realistic way forward.
Ways to work together
1:1 Child & Parent support
Individualised support for behaviour, regulation, anxiety, sensory needs, social development, and developmental concerns.
EBSA Support
A structured, regulation-first approach for children who are struggling with emotionally based school avoidance.
Resources & Tools
Practical downloads, guides, and regulation tools designed to support children at home, in school, and in everyday life.
How support works
1. Understand what's happening
We look at the behaviour clearly, including patterns, triggers, emotional regulation, sensory needs, developmental factors, and what may be maintaining the difficulty.
2. Build a realistic plan
Support is tailored to your child and family, with practical goals and strategies designed to work in real life, not just in session.
3. Support the adults too
Parents and caregivers receive guidance, tools, and strategies so progress can carry over at home, in school, and across daily routines.
4. Adjust as needed
Support is reviewed regularly so the plan remains useful, realistic, and responsive to your child's needs.
Why families work with Busy Brains
Busy Brains combines behavioural understanding, emotional regulation support, therapeutic play, and practical parent guidance.
The goal is not simply to manage behaviour in the moment. The goal is to understand what is driving it, reduce overwhelm, build skills, and help children feel more capable and more understood.

Meet Megan
Hi! I'm Megan Moran, Child Behaviour and Development Specialist and founder of Busy Brains.
I support children who are struggling with behaviour, emotional regulation, anxiety, sensory needs, developmental differences, and school-based challenges, while helping parents and schools respond with more clarity and confidence.
My approach is practical, child-centred, and grounded in real-world support. I focus on understanding what is driving behaviour, helping adults respond more effectively, and giving children tools that genuinely support regulation and development.
Need support for your child?
If things feel stuck, overwhelming, or harder than they should, Busy Brains can help you make sense of what is going on and build a practical way forward.
