Work With Me
You don't have to figure this out alone.
If you're reading this, chances are you're exhausted. You've tried everything you can think of. You've read the books, followed the advice, and still — something isn't clicking. Your child is struggling, and so are you.
That's exactly why I do this work.
I'm Megan Moran, a child behaviour and emotional regulation support specialist. I work with families who are navigating some of the harder parts of raising children — the meltdowns, the school refusals, the anxiety, the moments where you genuinely don't know what to do next. I help you make sense of what's happening and figure out what to do about it.
Who I work with
I support parents and families of children who are experiencing:
- Emotional dysregulation — big feelings, explosive outbursts, difficulty calming down
- Angry or aggressive behaviour at home or school
- Anxiety — including social anxiety, separation anxiety, and generalised worry
- School distress and emotionally based school avoidance
- Autism — including late-identified children and those awaiting assessment
- ADHD — inattentive, hyperactive, or combined presentations
- Sensory overwhelm and sensory-seeking behaviour
- Behavioural challenges that feel stuck, confusing, or getting worse
- Parent overwhelm — when you're not sure what's wrong or where to start
You don't need a diagnosis to reach out. You just need to feel like something isn't right.
How I help
Every family I work with gets something different, because every child and situation is different. Support might include:
- Parent consultations — making sense of what's happening and building a clear picture of your child
- One-to-one support — working directly with your child on regulation, coping, and behaviour
- Practical strategies — real, usable approaches that fit your family's life
- Regulation support — helping children build the skills to manage their emotions and responses
- Behaviour support — understanding patterns, reducing what's not working, and building what is
- School-related support — navigating school difficulties, avoidance, and communication with educators
- Tailored guidance — because what works for one child won't always work for another
My approach
I believe in understanding the why behind behaviour — but I also know it's not always that simple.
Behaviour isn't always just communication or an unmet need. Sometimes it's learned. Sometimes it's reactive. Sometimes it's been reinforced over time without anyone realising. Sometimes it's impulsive, driven by poor regulation, weak coping skills, developmental differences, or patterns in the environment that have quietly taken hold.
I don't work from a single framework or a one-size-fits-all script. I look at the whole child — their history, their environment, their development, their relationships — and I work with families to build something that actually fits.
I'm direct. I'm honest. And I'll always tell you what I actually think, not just what sounds reassuring.
Common reasons families reach out
- "My child has a meltdown every single day and I don't know how to help them."
- "School is a battle every morning and it's getting worse."
- "We've been told our child might be autistic or have ADHD but we don't know what to do next."
- "I feel like I'm walking on eggshells in my own home."
- "Nothing I try is working and I'm running out of ideas."
- "I just need someone to tell me what's actually going on."
If any of those sound familiar, you're in the right place.
Ready to get started?
Reach out and tell me a little about your child and what's been going on. I'll come back to you personally, and we'll figure out together what kind of support makes the most sense.
